one morning she awoke with an adventure story in her head and didn’t have any
peace until she wrote in down. She had edited crime/horror stories (The
Icemen Series) for her younger brother, Stephen Heferen, a promising author
in this genre, however, she never thought of writing herself. Miraculously, Kate
now discovered a vehicle to convey her spiritual messages. She and her brother
had been influenced by their multi-talented father, Patrick Heferen, who wrote
and composed an Australian Musical Comedy called Strike Me Lucky – It’s Oil! He has also written several Sci-Fi
novels (The Andromeda Series) and a
few non-fictional works about the history of the family (Heads and Tails). Kate
hopes you enjoy reading Surviving the
Prophecies as much as she did writing it. Currently, she is working on a
squeal, as well as another adventure story based on a worldwide pandemic
outbreak. We all have a duty, to not only share and carry on
the traditions
of our culture, but, to pass on the Universal Spiritual Truths that
we have re-discovered and internalised in our lifetime. This way we will ensure the evolution of our species. ..............................................................Kate

Mother Shipton (circa 1486-1581) Chapter
One
As
Mother Earth shuddered in disgust, the shock waves of tremors were felt all over
the planet. She was tired, exhausted and very angry. Man’s destructive nature
had forced her body to bear the impact of dangerous atomic testing. Her oceans
and rivers had suffered irreparable damage as a dumping site for man’s waste.
Every species of the precious animal kingdom was slowly being eliminated. It was
time, once again, to give her body a necessary cleansing. The terrible burden of
what she was about to do weighed heavily on her mind. Although many innocent
lives would be lost, Mother Earth took consolation in the fact that there would
be a few survivors who would be given a second chance to live in harmony with
her.
Gathering strength from the Universal Energy, she focused on merging her
tectonic plates on the major fault lines around the world and unleashed her
almighty power. It was time to release the old to make way for the new. The
cleansing had begun.
She had an uneasy feeling that the fiery comet, passing closely overhead,
would clip her as it departed. As she looked up to the heavens, its majestic
tail was leaving a trail of golden light for all to see. ~~~
Ang was taking her usual early morning walk, with her two faithful dogs,
in the park near her house. Trying not to notice the rubbish that had been
thrown into the polluted creek, she stopped to admire the tall iron-barks that
reached up into the pale blue sky. You could learn so much from a tree, she
thought to herself – such strength of purpose and stillness…. She enjoyed
watching the dogs – their tails wagging wildly as they happily sniffed
everything in sight. It never ceased to amaze her that even though the dogs came
to the same park every day it was a new and exciting adventure for them every
time. They lived so much in the enjoyment of the moment. You could learn a lot
from a dog, she thought to herself… She couldn’t help noticing the noise
from the early morning traffic that was drowning out the sounds of the birds.
Ang was strolling along, thinking that she would have to come earlier to
enjoy the peace and quiet, when she felt the terrifying tremors. There was an
eerie silence as the birds stopped chirping and all nature froze to listen.
Realising what this could mean, she felt that sickening feeling in the pit of
her stomach in her Solar Plexus. She’d dreamt of a catastrophic event many
times, but, didn’t know when or where it would happen. She just knew that it
would happen in her lifetime. There had been so many signs and warnings over the
years.
The comet circling the globe at the moment could be the one referred to
in the prophecies. John Hogue, a famous modern-day clairvoyant, had said that he
predicted there would be only two more popes after Pope John Paul II. Pope
Benedict XVI had passed away only a few years into office and a new pope had
just been elected. When she heard the news it prompted her to buy real estate in
the hills nearby, and to store supplies on the sheep station she had inherited
from her grandfather, in
Quickly, she called the dogs and ran back to the house she was staying
in. The dogs were excited and agitated; they sensed something was wrong too. It
was 5:00 am, most people were still sleeping and unaware of what was about to
happen. Warning them would be useless. They’d only laugh and call her a
‘Psycho’.
After arriving back at the house, she went straight to the shipping
container buried in the backyard. People had probably said she was a little
crazy the day she’d organised to bury it. She’d told them that she collected
wine bottles and wanted a cool, waterproof, inexpensive cellar to store them.
Already she’d stored food and water in it. She’d also collected a natural
First-Aid kit; a torch with spare batteries; candles, lighters and matches.
Her mind was racing as her intuition was telling her to go and collect
five books from inside the house. She knew that if it was the serious event she
predicted, then she’d need those survival books she’d been reading lately.
After racing around the house frantically, she threw some shoes, clothing and
personal items onto her doona cover. Next she collected the laptop, The Bible
and four books. Pausing for a moment, she turned to Revelation
16:17- 21: The
seventh angel poured his bowl into the air, and a great voice came out of the
temple, from the throne, saying, “It is done!” And there were flashes of
lightning, loud noises, peals of thunder, and a great earthquake such as had
never been since men were on the earth, so great was that earthquake. The great
city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell, and God
remembered great Babylon, to make her drain the cup of the fury of his wrath.
And every island fled away, and no mountains were to be found and great
hailstones, heavy as a hundred weight, dropped on men from heaven, till men
cursed God for the plague of the hail, so fearful was that plague.
A line caught her attention and she went back to reread it: …flashes
of lightning, loud noises, peals of thunder…great hailstones, heavy as a
hundred weight, dropped on men from heaven…
Ang wondered if that was a reference to the Super Volcano spewing out
rock and lava at The Yellowstone National
Park in the
“Please, let me be wrong,” she said to herself, as she held the book
tightly again her chest for a few moments. It would have to be one of the worst
horror stories she’d ever read.
The dogs were following her from room to room. They weren’t letting her
out of their sight. Wherever she was going, they were going too!
Ang looked at her watch; it was 6:00 am already. She decided to lock the
dogs inside the container as they were distracting her. Pausing
for a moment to recollect her thoughts, she mentally asked for some help and
assistance. Rushing could cause her to forget something important. Taking a few
deep breaths, suddenly, she knew what to retrieve next.
In her office, she found some legal documents in a satchel and stopped to
collect the cards and letters that Jason had sent her. After placing them in the
satchel with a few family photos, she placed them on the quilt and dragged it
down the stairs. Quickly, she unpacked the contents into a large plastic storage
container.
As she sat down for the first time, she had an uneasy feeling that
she’d still forgotten something important. There was already a radio, a tarp
and a gas barbecue down here, so, it wasn’t that. She went over the list
again: water, food, dog food …..Suddenly, realising what it was, Ang fled
upstairs and made a phone call.
“Hello! Madge,” said Ang trying to hide the panic in her voice.
“Hello! Is everything alright dear?” asked her manager sounding
concerned. Madge always knew when she was in trouble. When she had visited her
grandfather’s property as a child, she always remembered how intuitive and
kind Madge had been.
“It’s begun.”
“We know. Frank and I felt the tremors here too.”
“I’ll be there as soon as I can. Love you, guys and…” That was
the last thing she said as the line went dead. Still holding the cordless phone
in her hand, she fled down the stairs. She just about jumped out of her skin
when the phone rang. ~~~
Jason was exercising in the prison yard when he felt the second tremor.
He stopped and listened; his heart was racing. Everyone around him had frozen
too, but, after a few moments they went back to what they were doing. There was
an excited buzz in the air as the inmates talked about the vibrations. Jason
knew intuitively that he had to move quickly to higher ground. The first tremor
had come a few hours earlier at 5:00 am, when everyone was still asleep. He had
ignored it then, but, he wasn’t going to be told a second time!
Instead of panicking, he walked to his cell and lay down on his mattress
for a few moments. What had Ang said about asking for help in a crisis
situation? He remembered now. Be still and listen. You will be given clear
instructions on what to do. Suddenly, he felt compelled to put on extra clothes
and collect some food and water.
Jase quickly pulled on another set of clothes and grabbed a few tokens.
He bought some bottled water and assorted food and chocolate bars. People were
looking at him strangely.
“I’m hungry,” he said. If I said anything, thought Jase to himself,
they’ll think I’m a raving lunatic.
They just nodded. Nobody argued with Jason. He had a fiery temper and was
a lean ‘fighting machine’. Although he was in his late thirties, he had a
body of a fit twenty-year-old man.
Jase shoved the food bars down the front of his white T-Shirt and worried
about how he’d carry all this water. Returning to his cell, he found a
material laundry bag. After placing the bottles and food bars inside, along with
a few toiletries and a rolled-up blanket, he stopped to survey the room that had
been his home for the past ten years. He certainly wasn’t going to miss it!
The shelves were covered in cards from Ang. He chose one, along with a few
photos and placed them carefully in a plastic bag. He sealed it and pushed it
down his shirt, close to his heart. Heading for the upstairs common room, with
the laundry bag slung over his shoulder, Jase had an uneasy feeling that he’d
forgotten something.
As he passed the phones, he remembered to ring Ang.
“Are you okay?” he asked anxiously.
“I’m ready. You felt it too?” she replied.
“Stay where you are. I’ll find you. Love you, Princess,” he said
seriously.
“Love you. Good luck,” she sobbed.
That was the last word Jason heard as the phone crackled and then went
dead. He started running towards the stairs. ~~~
Mother Earth had recovered quickly after being clipped by the comet, but,
it had reversed the polarity of her poles and weakened her defences. The
San Andreas Fault, near
The cracking sounds were deafening. She shook and shuddered, exploding
her anger into the heavens. The pressure that had been building up for thousands
of years finally had an outlet. Earthquakes uprooted trees and demolished
everything in their path; they were merciless. As the cracks in the earth
continued all along the populated coastlines, it its wake the land masses
closest to the ocean broke off, and were swallowed up by the sea. It happened so
quickly. After only a few short hours the shape of the continents had changed
and the face of the planet had been altered forever. As one lot of polluted,
poisoned earth fell, another would rise in its place; fertile and untouched by
human hands. Inland seas that were dry and barren were filled once again. Other
volcanoes erupted and spewed their molten lava around the continents. The skies
became blackened with the foul ash-breath that was expelled. Large boulders, the
size of houses were thrown into the sky. The
Ring of Fire that encircled the planet was activated in a chain reaction as
one volcano after another exploded.
Mother Earth, or Gaia as she is reverently called after the Greek
Goddess, gave one last sigh and quietened down. She could relax now and let the
healing process begin. Until the cycle began again, which was her destiny, Gaia
had purged her body once more, of her greatest enemy – mankind. It seemed to
her that it was only yesterday, and not ten thousand years ago, that she had
destroyed the last remnants of Atlantis after the inhabitants had crippled
it….. ~~~
From the space station orbiting the planet, three astronauts watched in
stunned silence, as the comet passing by grazed the edge of the earth’s
surface. It knocked her off her axis and sent her spinning out of control for a
moment before she realigned herself. They saw a tiny piece crack off and hurl
towards the ocean off
They had been watching the earthquakes around the globe and could not
fathom the size of the land masses that were falling into the ocean.
There was a large amount of volcanic activity around The Ring of Fire that encircled the globe.
“What the…? Look, there’s another new land mass,” said Cody, the
young American astronaut. He pointed to a huge land mass that had emerged off
the coast of
“The lost city of
They’d lost radio contact with NASA soon after the comet hit. It had
altered all their frequencies. They had watched in horror as their homes and
families had been destroyed in a twinkling of the eye. Now they were beginning
to realise that their chances of ever returning to earth were extremely remote.
It would take a miracle… Click on the cart below to purchase this book: |
